WSJを真面目に読む July 2, 2012

昨日の日曜はPNBアセット・マネジメント・ジャパン(株)のオフィスの引っ越し。朝早くから夜遅くまで、随分時間がかかりました。日本橋から紀尾井町へ。ニューオータニガーデンコートの19階になります。

マレーシアから来た社員が地震の際に館内英語放送があるほうが安心できるだろう 、また、ホテルが隣接しており東京が被災しても安心ではないか、といったような理由で、変わったのです。日本橋のオフィスの持ち主が家賃を実勢に合わせて下げてくれなかったのも大きな理由になりました。http://www.english-resume.net/indiv/bldg_newotani.php

胡錦濤Hu Jintaoが新しい香港の行政院長梁振英Leung Chun-yingの就任式を主催ためにやってきた。英国から香港が中国に返還されて15年目のお話し。それに合わせて香港の自由を維持し中国での人権活動を擁護するデモが巻き起こっていると言う記事。15年前を考えると、「香港が中国化」されるのを多くの人が恐れていた。しかし実際に起きたのは「中国の香港化」であった。
